'Kijo' is story about the about the lady of night. It reflects upon the flaws of society’s perceived righteousness. As eyes wander, along with deeds, the burden of this shame is often dictated upon the one who has no say. It flips the narrative, by turning the viewer into the monster you wish to see.
About the Series
This series, aptly called 'Faces', takes inspiration from 'Oni' referring to a type of fearsome humanoid seen in Japanese folklore and mythology. It personifies the inner demons of the protagonist, and captures them in their most vulnerable state of transformation.
